- 1 bag Apple pie filling use our apple pie filling recipe, either frozen or fresh.
- ½ cup regular rolled oats
- ¼ cup all purpose flour
- ¼ tsp groun nutmeg
- ¼ cup butter softened
Filling: head on over to our apple pie filling recipe. If making fresh, use it right away. If you pull it from the freezer, let it thaw for a few hours. One bag will fill a 9x13 pan. Topping: Combine oats, brown sugar, flour and nutmeg in a medium sized bowl. Cut in the butter until the mixture is coarse and crumbly. Spread the topping over the apple filling in the pan, trying to get it evenly spread.
Bake in a preheated 350℉ oven for 30 minutes or until tender and carmelized.
Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
