Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F. For easy clean up, I like to line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, but then I also use parchment paper on top of that for easy removal.
Make sure to trim any excess fat. Pat to dry. The membrane on the bottom side of the rack can be easily pulled of using a paper towel.
Using the dry rub, season the rack on both sides, using a lot of rub! Place the ribs on the baking sheet.
Cover with more parchment paper to avoid it sticking and then cover completely with aluminum foil, making sure to seal it around the edges.
Cook in the oven for 2 hours. Check it for doneness. If it looks good, add more rub and BBQ sauce and place back in the oven, uncovered, for 20 more minutes. If it needs more time, cover and put back into the oven for 20 more minutes before checking again.
Once there is a nice crust on the ribs, remove them from the oven. Add more BBQ sauce, if desired, and serve and enjoy these Tender Spare Ribs!
