Tender Spare Ribs
This tender spare ribs recipe will have you licking your fingers and going for more! It just falls off the bone and the taste just pops!

This recipe is made in the oven but cooked slowly to give it the tender, delicious taste! Low and slow is the name of the game. This doesn’t even require many ingredients, just some time.
Ingredients
- Full rack of pork spare ribs
- Pork dry rub (use your favorite or make your own!)
- BBQ Sauce
Pork Rub Recipe
- 3 tsp brown sugar
- 3 tsp sea salt
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp chili powder

Instructions for Tender Spare Ribs
Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F. For easy clean up, I like to line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, but then I also use parchment paper on top of that for easy removal.
Make sure to trim any excess fat. Pat to dry. The membrane on the bottom side of the rack can be easily pulled of using a paper towel.
Using the dry rub, season the rack on both sides, using a lot of rub! Place the ribs on the baking sheet.

Cover with more parchment paper to avoid it sticking and then cover completely with aluminum foil, making sure to seal it around the edges.
Cook in the oven for 2 hours. Check it for doneness. If it looks good, add more rub and BBQ sauce and place back in the oven, uncovered, for 20 more minutes. If it needs more time, cover and put back into the oven for 20 more minutes before checking again.

Once there is a nice crust on the ribs, remove them from the oven. Add more BBQ sauce, if desired, and serve and enjoy these Tender Spare Ribs!
Serve them up with some Tasty Applesauce.
