Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 tsp Yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 3 tsp honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp cornmeal
  • 2 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sourdough discard

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 525 degrees F. Place pizza pan inside while preheating.
  • Pour warm (but not hot) water to the bowl of your stand mixer. Add in yeast and let sit for a few minutes until it looks bubbly.
  • Then, add in discard, honey, salt, oil, cornmeal and flour. Knead for 8-10 minutes using the dough hook.
  • Cover and allow to rise until doubled. This process should take about a half hour.
  • Once risen, divide the dough into two halves. Spread into pan to desired thickness onto a piece of parchment paper.
  • Remove the heated pizza pans. Place pizza crust and parchment paper onto the pan. Add sauce and cheese and desired toppings.
  • Bake about 10 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is melted. This may take longer (or shorter) depending on your oven.
