Ingredients
What I love about this recipe is that it contains so few ingredients, that it takes no time to get started.
Start with a fully cooked ham. We used a spiral sliced, smoked half ham. It was a little under 5 pounds. If yours it a different size, adjust accordingly.
Then, crushed pineapple will be used. You can substitute this with pineapple juice or pineapple slices. It’s really personal preference here.
The next ingredient is brown sugar. This is the staple of the recipe. This is what turns into the glaze.
Dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar and honey round out the ingredients.

Slow Cooker – Here is the one I use and I love it.
How to Cook the BEST Slow Cooker Ham
First, remove from the plastic covering. If there is any flavor packets or anything else included, disard them.

Pour the pineapple into the slow cooker.
Next, you’ll make the glaze. Combine brown sugar, dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar and honey until it forms a thick smooth mix.

Spread over the ham and put in slow cooker. I like to put the flat side down.

Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours. The internal temperature should read 140 degrees and the meat should be tender when ready.

Using a pastry brush, brush on some of the pineapple juice onto the ham throughout the cooking process.
Once its ready and before serving, place on a plate and cover with a tented piece of foil. Serve warm and Enjoy. We like to eat ours with mashed potatoes and green beans (or green bean casserole).
